Diane Aldis

Diane Aldis is a performer, educator and project administrator. After a long hiatus from dancing, she began performing again two years ago in venues ranging from industrial shows to Patrick’s Cabaret to the Fringe Festival. As the Dance & Theater Education Coordinator at the Perpich Center for Arts Education, she directs professional development programs for teachers and artists. She also teaches at the University of Minnesota Dance Program, with an emphasis on movement-based wellness courses.

Jodi Collova

Jodi Collova has worked with various choreographers in Minneapolis and New York City, including Toni Taylor (NY), Kay Nishikawa (NY), Alberto Denis (NY), Miriam Colvin (MN), and Rosy Simas (MN). When she creates dances herself, Jodi loves to combine poetry with movement; she started choreographing in this fashion at Carleton College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and dance. She has presented her work at the Walker Art Center, the former Studio 6A, and the Brooklyn Arts Exchange (NY), and will choreograph a piece for the Zenon scholarship students in summer 2005. Jodi has been dancing with the Christopher Watson Dance Company since December 2004.

Sarah LaRose

Sarah LaRose has been performing with the Christopher Watson Dance Company since 1996. She has also performed with several independent choreographers and dance companies including Will Swanson, David Parsons, Patricia Kenny, Erin Thompson’s 45 Chartreuse, 10,000 Dances, Zenon Dance Company, Klein Dance and Dance Alive! Sarah is the Artistic Director of Riverbend Dance Arts in Hastings, Assistant Director of the Christopher Watson Dance Company, and Presenter of the Kinetic Kitchen dance series. In addition to teaching, choreographing and performing, Sarah enjoys studying yoga and training in the martial arts.

Galen Treuer

Galen Treuer dances and bakes in Minneapolis, where he eats ice cream, enjoys Minnesota weather, and wishes for a current account of deficit under 5% of GDP. Galen thanks Christopher for this opportunity and for his support.

David Wick

David Wick joined CWDC in 2000. David also dances with Gerry Girouard, Vox Medusa and Rosy Simas Dance Projects. He creates dances with composer Jane Anfinson as IRRUPTION: Dance and Music Collaborations. David seeks to share his observations and experiences from realms far beyond the walls of any theater through his collaborations, choreography and performance. He has presented his own work at Patrick’s Cabaret, Choreomania, MULCH, Gus Lucky’s Gallery, Bath House Gallery, Walker Art Center, and through 3 Legged Race (3LR). In September 2000 David was a core participant in The Body Cartography Project’s Minneapolis Intensive. He has performed in works by Gerry Girouard, MaryLee Hardenberg, Ann Carlson, Kei Takei, Melanie Lein Palm, Laura Glenn and others.
